My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about social equality and justice. I have formed a team of all social workers with values rooted in outreach and service to more vulnerable groups of people. I have tried to think creatively amidst our oppressive systems to create a unique model for therapy that does not allow insurance companies or other third parties interfere with therapeutic treatment. I love being a therapist because I have the absolute honor of REALLY getting to know my fellow humans. I am super proud of the team I have created. They are huge-hearted, compassionate, intelligent, skilled therapists who mean the world to me and to their patients. The comment we get most from outsiders is "Wow, you guys are refreshingly not burned out!" Not sure what that says about the rest of the profession, but I can attest to the vibe on our team!
