About My Clients

Are you looking to transcend cycles of anxiety, depression, or conflict? Are you ready to reconnect with spontaneity, joy, and belonging? My ideal client values feeling connected and building stronger relationships, starting individually and expanding outward. I help clients find patterns they are ready to leave behind. We'll learn why they developed and what wounds they protect. With couples, I help folks improve intimacy and feel seen. I also provide families tools for cohesion and fun.

My Background and Approach

My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that we all deserve happiness, purpose, and strong relationships. I can help you find the resources for healing and change that you already possess and help you discover new ones. Through our work together, we’ll make connections, experiment with new ways of being, and say or hear things that have gone unsaid or unheard. Let’s build the life you want - one full of connection, groundedness, and love. I hold a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling. There I received specific training in helping couples create more equitable relationships and satisfying intimacy, addressing the unique needs of men and boys in the predominantly female therapy world, and acting as a facilitator and witness to help clients find deeper purpose and meaning in their lives. I have extensive training in mindfulness, anti-racism, and trauma-informed care.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Throughout our lives, we learn behaviors to cope and feel safe. Perhaps a part of you became a perfectionist to protect a part that fears rejection. Over time, patterns like this can become entrenched, inhibiting our growth and even causing the very pain they were meant to prevent. I can help you identify these patterns and the parts of yourself they protect. Through curiosity and compassion, we can loosen their grip and even befriend them. Emotions signal what’s important for us to notice. Acknowledging your own emotions and the emotions of others promotes healing and connection. Easier said than done! I use techniques that help individuals and couples slow down, sit with feelings, and gain language to better understand/communicate them. I believe that it takes practice to really create lasting change. I will often assign simple homework assignments to further the growth you experience during sessions and provide us more data to work with in future sessions.
