Just like any other group, the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) community faces mental health issues and unique challenges. However, LGBTQ individuals are almost 3 times more likely than others to experience a mental health condition, such as depression or anxiety. Additionally, more than half of individuals who identify as transgender experience depression or anxiety. The LGBTQ community is also at a higher risk for suicide. Young people are even more at risk, as they may experience a lack of support at home and fear, hatred or prejudice in school. If you are a member of the LGBTQ community and are facing mental health challenges, you don’t have to suffer in silence. Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s LGBTQ experts and get help today.

Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.
Online Therapy

The people I work with are intelligent, motivated, and also incredibly frustrated. They are ready to work through old trauma, limiting beliefs about themselves, difficulties with attention, and worry, but doing it on their own just isn’t working. I work with people who are leading (or hoping to lead) unconventional lives: artists, activists, entrepreneurs, founders and creators. I also specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ folx and neurodivergent people (autism spectrum, gifted, ADHD, etc.) If you are at high risk for bunrout (which is a lot of us, given the current climate), I also offer coaching around preventing or dealing with burnout.
