About My Clients
I work with adults and teenagers as young as 14yo. I enjoy working with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, and relationship problems. I also have specialized experience working with people in the LGBTQ+ community, along with people diagnosed with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Phobias, and Substance Use Disorders.
My Approach to Helping
I enjoy helping people better understand themselves as they move toward change and solve their problems. I do this using therapeutic techniques that are evidenced-based which means these methods have consistently been shown effective through research. I balance kindness with a focus on getting you to where you want to be. My practice includes in-person services in Minnesota, along with the ability to conduct televideo sessions in 44 additional states and territories.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I became a therapist for many reasons, but I remain a therapist because I value helping others and contributing to the common good. When I am not in the office, I’m very likely spending time with family or friends. I enjoy cooking (and eating) good food, listening to electronic/dance music, and watching TV. Someday soon I hope to fulfill a longtime wish and adopt a dog (or two).
