About My Clients
I have years of educational and counseling experience working with ages 10+. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment, which nurtures therapeutic rapport and promotes the client’s positive change and growth. My eclectic therapeutic approach is designed to fit the client’s individual needs. Experience includes add. assessments, sexual differentiation within couples, trauma, co-occurring, stress, grief, anxiety, sex-positive, mood disorders, kink, monogamy, & ENM.
My Background and Approach
I am Certified by the Missouri Credentialing Board to train addiction counselors, a Certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (train & supervise counselors), Certified Mental Health First Aider, Wellness Coach & Trainer, and Board Certified Sex Therapist and Coach; currently working on obtaining a PhD in Clinical Sexology. My professional work experience includes addiction, mental health therapy, sex therapy, and coaching in community agencies and non-profit settings, as well as educational assistance in a public environment. I'm a public speaker and facilitator and have been featured in several media outlets for my work. Therapeutic modalities include Brainspotting, EMDR, CBT, DBT, IBT, and Expressive Art Therapy (EXA). The community I work with includes diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Building rapport is the key to a healthy therapeutic relationship. I'm a talker and a listener. I'm not a pushy therapist. I believe things come when they come. Allowing me to take your therapeutic or coaching journey with you is an honor and a privilege. If I don't know, I will let you know, and we can find out together.
