Need a letter for surgery? Dr. Medina provides mental health assessments (referral letters) for gender affirmation surgery for transgender and gender diverse clients. Do you have questions about your own gender or are starting the gender exploration journey? Dr. Medina has experience working with LGBTQIA+ community, transgender/gender diverse individuals, combat veterans, military sexual trauma survivors, chronic pain, and individuals struggling with life transitions.

I like to focus my work in the here-and-now as I recognize the importance of interpersonal relationships and providing positive support to my clients. In therapy, the therapeutic relationship serves as a safe space for exploration and self-discovery. By providing you with a confidential setting to explore your thoughts and feelings, we lay the foundation to facilitate the change and relief from distress you are seeking in therapy.

My therapeutic orientation is existential in nature. I focus on meeting your needs while finding meaning in your life to help you reach your goals. I promote self-awareness, growth, and a more fulfilling existence. "Wanting something to change" is why many come seeking services. I believe that change takes place after exploration of the uncertainty that accompanies it.
