You are fucking done. Anxiety, depression, and insecurity runs your life more than your hopes and dreams do. The past keeps knocking at your door every time you try to open a new one. You are exhausted from people telling you how to live your life. These experiences are continuing to zap away the joy and confidence in your life. Disrupting the life you want to build, invading the relationships you want to keep, and even causing you to avoid every that brings up those emotions.

Over the years, I’ve noticed that almost everyone develops ways of coping that work in the short term but cost too much in the long term. They end up functioning in survival mode. They find themselves stuck: trying to figure things out that perhaps can't be figured out, trying to change things that perhaps can’t be changed, or held back by fear of the unknown or of failure. If any of this sounds familiar, let's talk.
Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.
It's hard to get up in the mornings. Life is heavy right now because work is stressful, you're struggling in your relationships, it's hard to get a good night's sleep, and/or you never seem to have time to focus on yourself. You may also be struggling with grief from the loss of a loved one, low self-esteem, or feeling disconnected from the world.
Acknowledging that you might be in over your head isn't weak, it's wise. If you’ve tried everything you can think of to feel better, but your mind still attacks you or relationships always seem to go sour or you never quite feel at ease even when everything's OK, maybe it's time to look a little deeper. It's not that cutting off toxic people or upping your cardio won't help, because they probably will! But sometimes the wound goes deeper than that or the situation you're in is just too much.

You know your trauma story backwards and forwards. You know it's the reason you struggle with anxiety, depression, and why your relationships aren't where you want them to be. You're tired of being on edge all the time, feeling hopeless, alone, being caught up in negative thought cycles, and being STUCK. You've tried self-help books, thinking positive thoughts, maybe even a little meditating but nothing has worked. You are D-O-N-E with doing it on your own. You're ready to try something new.
I work well with anxious women with big hearts who are drained from the constant people-pleasing and perfectionism. Your big heart leaves you putting everyone first but yourself. The constant overthinking, self-doubt, and not feeling good enough is overwhelming. You are finally ready to put yourself first by learning how to manage your anxiety and start building your self-worth.
Have past traumas left you doubting your worth? Has the impact of domestic abuse made you question your safety & value? Trusting yourself & others might feel like an uphill battle. Maybe you carry the weight of heartbreak and pain from past betrayal. You might desire more fulfilling and deeper connections but struggle with vulnerability or setting boundaries. These experiences can be overwhelming, isolating, & confusing, but you don't have to face them alone.
My clients are women who are tired of constantly trying to prove themselves. They often are feeling frustrated and stuck with where they are in life. They’ve spent so much time meeting everyone’s needs and expectations that they have lost sight of who they are and what they truly want out of life. Some of my clients have even started to recognize that maybe the life they are living doesn't feel like their own because it isn't.
Are you unhappy in your relationship/marriage? Thinking about a divorce or struggling with dating? Feeling stressed and overwhelmed? I provide a warm, safe, welcoming environment to foster insight and grounded decision making and help you achieve change.

Life can be hard. Whether it is transitioning from one phase of life to another or financial and work stressors there is always something that we have to learn to cope with and it can be very easy to start feeling overwhelmed and stuck. I believe every experience in life has a purpose. Nothing happens by chance. Failure, conflict or ending a relationship isn't meant to break us but to provide valuable lessons for us to learn, grow, gain insight, become stronger and live happier.
I have experience working with DBT, CBT, Narrative, and Solution Focused Therapy. By focusing on what is present, we can step away and determine just how we want to react. People are very concerned with how they react, but it's when you understand why the reaction happened that we can learn how to view ourselves differently.
