Many are healing from trauma, toxic or narcissistic relationships, and a persistent inner critic that keeps them stuck in self-doubt. Trauma-focused approaches and therapy can help shine a light in our darkest hour, provide clarity in times of uncertainty, and help us develop a clear path forward. What happens in life matters less than the way you choose to navigate the journey. I recognize that some clients reach a plateau where talk therapy and medication alone cannot take them further. I work with people whose traditional approaches to healing have plateaued, helping them bridge the disconnect between what they understand intellectually and what they feel emotionally. Nevertheless, "Whatever you are not changing, you are choosing (L. Buchanan)." Sometimes, the hardest thing to face is acknowledging the role we played in breaking our hearts. Often, it's our rigid belief system that keeps us trapped in the same depressive self-sabotaging loops and trauma-bonded relationships that keep repeating.
