Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a brain disorder that is typically characterized by a lack of impulse control, an inability to focus and pay attention, and hyperactivity. ADHD most commonly emerges in children and teens and can continue into adulthood. In fact, ADHD is the most common mental health disorder diagnosed in young people and sufferers often have trouble paying attention in school. ADHD must be diagnosed by a qualified clinician. In addition to medical interventions, seeing a mental health practitioner who specializes in the treatment of ADHD can help patients and their families better cope with many of the symptoms. I like working with clients who have reason to explore questions of identity. Many ND people wonder why they seem so different from what's expected of them. They may feel alienated from their bodies or their experiences; may be LGBTQ+ with related social or family trauma; or, like any human, they may simply be transitioning into or out of a new or stressful phase of their lives. We explore unmasking, authentic identity, and aligning with a healthy sense of self, to find joy.

Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

My passions lay in working with a variety of clients, particularly with those who are neurodivergent, queer, healthcare professionals, and/or college students. I enjoy working with all ages and my passion includes working with clients who are seeking a counselor who accepts them for who they are and may have had bad experiences in the past with counseling. I focus most on the therapeutic relationship so much of our work together will be through our conversations together. I don't "workbook".

An ideal client, I envision someone who recognizes the importance of mental health and seeks support willingly. This individual might be grappling with issues such as anxiety, stress, or depression, acknowledging the impact these challenges have on their overall well-being. Their needs revolve around building coping mechanisms, enhancing emotional resilience, and fostering self-awareness. My ideal client is motivated by a genuine desire for personal growth and therapeutic interventions.
