About My Clients
My clients are usually folks who identify as a member of the LGBTQ community and/or are impacted by ADHD or Autism. Clients often tell me that it's a relief to not have to educate/train me on various facets of their identity and that I don't focus on these facets unless they do. Often times, I hear that clients have had a negative experience in therapy because the therapist seemed too uptight or not transparent, and therefore enjoy the open and honest dialogue that we have in session.
My Background and Approach
I help clients identify practical strategies to address the concerns that are important to them, all within a therapy space that is safe for those who may feel alienated due to neurodivergence, sexuality, gender, relationship configurations, spiritual/religious beliefs and/or intuitive skills. I have a special interest in working with folx who are neurodivergent (including self-diagnosed) and are members of the LGBTQ+ community. I also enjoy working with those who are exploring or expanding upon their purpose in life, belief systems, and intuitive gifts.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’m a cis lesbian therapist and pet-parent to two dogs. One of my favorite aspects of being a therapist is combining my counseling education and training with tiny tidbits of my own life experiences in a way that allows me to help others create a new understanding of their own experiences.
