About My Clients
I primarily work with clients who are neurodivergent and/or LGBTQ+. Many of my clients are wondering if they're autistic, have received a later-in-life autism diagnosis, and/or are curious about unmasking. Others are dealing with executive functioning difficulties that get in the way at school/work or in their relationships. Being queer and/or gender expansive, exploring a queer identity, or coming out has unique challenges when living in the south, all of which we can navigate together.
My Background and Approach
Therapy with me is collaborative and nonjudgmental. I center autonomy, curiosity, and connection. I also understand how hard it can be to trust therapy if your life experiences have been invalidated by a therapist in the past. We will move at your pace and address the things that are important to you. Depending on the session, that may include exploring your emotions and experiences, creating new systems to help your life run more smoothly, or talking about your special interests. Whether you're exploring facets of your neurodivergence and/or queer identity, needing a letter to support your gender-affirming care, or just need a space where you don’t have to mask—you're welcome here.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’m a cis lesbian neurodivergent therapist and pet-parent to two dogs. One of my favorite aspects of being a therapist is combining my counseling education and training with tiny tidbits of my own life experiences in a way that allows me to help others create a new understanding of their own experiences. I'm an active member of Charlotte Trans Health, a multi-disciplinary group of providers dedicated to providing gender-affirming care. Outside of sessions, I'm usually found spending time with my friends, family, or a special interest. I love all-things ancient Egypt, crochet and beading, learning French, true crime, and historical fiction/time travel books.
