About My Clients

I work with college students and adults struggling with issues from anxiety to life transitions, ADHD, learning disabilities, adoption, LGBTQ+ issues, and substance use concerns. My commitment to providing a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space has allowed my clients to explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences freely. I have successfully worked with folks from many different identities and backgrounds.

How I Can Help You

I have been a clinical social worker for over 10 years, having worked with diverse populations in community mental health setting and outpatient substance use disorder treatment. My approach to therapy is rooted in creating an affirming, supportive, and transformative space for my clients. Your journey is unique to you, and I employ a range of treatment modalities tailored to your individual needs and goals. I can help you uncover the connections between your past experiences and your present self. My clinical approach is eclectic and unique to each client. I was trained in trauma-focused CBT and also utilize motivational interviewing and psychodynamic theories. I have additional training in adoption competency and have worked with adult adoptees and adoptive parents. I am also experienced in helping neurodivergent folks navigate school and the workplace, including support with requesting reasonable accommodations.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

The alliance between client and therapist is integral to having a satisfying and successful experience in therapy. I offer a free, 15 min consultation to assess if I am the right therapist for you, for the challenges you are facing at this moment in time. I believe each of us carries the tools for our own healing and it's a therapist's role to guide that to realization. I see myself as healer more than an "expert," and want to join you in your quest towards a better life, however you may define it. Before I became a therapist I worked year-round for 6+ years in the outdoor education and summer camp industry. I love the outdoors, and truly believe in the healing power of nature and community. These experiences have informed my clinical work, and I often think holistically about a client's healing journey as it unfolds in real life outside of a therapy session.
