My Background and Approach
Becoming a professional and beginning to live my own life caused overwhelming anxiety, depression, fear, and scary thoughts. The person looking back at me in the mirror was not the person I wanted to be. I was an individual who was afraid to live and afraid to NOT live. The brave, smiling face that I showed everyone was a mask. On the inside, I quivered in terror because I wasn’t sure what was expected of me. But when I knew what the expectations were, I was afraid I couldn’t deliver. I would panic thinking about how I may screw everything up. I needed to address my fears. But I didn’t know how to shift from criticism, doubt, and trying to get it right. That was my crisis point. I began self-exploration and therapy. It has been a challenging but rewarding experience stepping into authenticity and living an on-purpose calm life. Investing in my mental/emotional health was a gift to myself and everyone I interact with today. Are you ready to invest in your self?
