About My Clients

You may be used to holding everything together while privately feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unlike yourself. I work with adults experiencing eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and major life transitions. I also specialize in relational trauma, including infidelity and betrayal, narcissistic abuse, high-conflict divorce, and difficult co-parenting. Many of my clients are capable people who are exhausted from trying to manage everything on their own.

My Background and Approach

With over 20 years of experience, I am a licensed psychologist and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist & Consultant (CEDS-C). My eating disorder experience spans outpatient and higher levels of care, including residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) settings. I also specialize in relational trauma, including infidelity and betrayal, narcissistic abuse, high-conflict divorce, and difficult co-parenting. These experiences can leave you questioning yourself, struggling to trust your perceptions, or feeling unsure of what to do next. I provide compassionate, evidence-based treatment tailored to you, including EMDR when appropriate. My approach is active and collaborative. We'll work to understand what's keeping you stuck, develop practical strategies for what you're facing now, and address the deeper patterns and experiences that may be contributing to your distress. My goal isn't just to help you cope, but to help you create meaningful, lasting change.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe you should be able to come to therapy as you are—not as the version of yourself you think you're supposed to be. You don't need to have the right words, know exactly what you need, or have everything figured out before you walk through the door. I value honesty, authenticity, humor, and genuine human connection. I believe good therapy balances compassion with the willingness to ask difficult questions, challenge patterns that aren't serving you, and have conversations that may be uncomfortable but important. I also believe you are the expert on your own life. My role isn't to tell you how to live it, but to help you understand yourself more deeply, recognize choices you may not have been able to see, and make decisions that fit who you are and what matters to you. Above all, I want therapy to be a place where you can exhale, be completely honest, and know that you don't have to impress me or have it all together.
