About My Clients

If you've experienced trauma that has caused you to suppress emotions, avoid vulnerability, and close yourself off from the world - to deny your needs and make yourself small - I want to help you reconnect with what you need to create a rich and fulfilling life. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, OCD, identity concerns, being stuck on "autopilot" and having few meaningful relationships. Together, we can experiment with unapologetically putting yourself forward and becoming more visible.

My Background and Approach

I specialize in trauma and the many ways the brain and body adapt to it. Clients have told me I'm relatable, patient, warm, and exhibit genuine curiosity and humor to build relationships. I will see you as a whole person - complex, evolving, and inherently worthy. I pull from evidence-based interventions such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Somatic Experiencing, and arts-based therapies. We know these approaches work, and we can adapt them to fit your needs. I also pull from healing modalities that are validated by community & culture rather than institutional research boards. I'm curious about what pursuits fill you up - music, books, dance, writing, art - these are tremendous resources that we'll use in our work together.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I've coped with trauma by turning against myself, adapting to what I think others want from me, and locking up my pain to preserve a successful exterior image so no one would see my vulnerabilities. But this has only increased my shame and isolation. My lived experience and my clinical training has taught me a lot about healing the relationship with myself. It can be hard, scary, and risky, but I believe it's absolutely necessary for living a fulfilling life. I want to help you do the same. I want to support you with the tools, guidance, and warmth you need to deepen your relationship to self, experiment with new ways of living, and move confidently towards the things that matter most. I'm a cis, white, able-bodied, queer woman in an ethically non-monogamous straight-passing relationship. I'm fiercely passionate about gender justice, trans rights, relationship diversity, and battling queer imposter syndrome.
