About My Clients
Have you, or your child, experienced something scary, overwhelming, or traumatic? Is it making you feel hopeless, stuck, or anxious? Is it creating problems in your relationships or your role as a parent? Is your child also struggling in school or at home? Everyone has the inherent capacity to grow and heal through traumatic and overwhelming life experiences and suffering. You, and your child, deserve to live life to the fullest, without any barriers or fears holding you back.
How I Can Help You
Scary and traumatic experiences are often at the root of all suffering, whether big or small. In response to these horrible encounters, we all develop ways to survive and cope, which can sometimes keep us feeling disconnected or stuck. Whether your child is struggling, or you feel alone, we can conquer these challenges together. I love working with children, teens, and adults navigating all that life throws at them, while emphasizing everyone’s capacity to grow and heal. Through building a safe and strong connection, we can navigate these hard moments and memories from the past in order to heal these wounds in the present. Whether this means exploring your own childhood or recent difficult moments, using EMDR therapy for healing, or supporting you as a parent now, we can help you become who you want to be in your relationships and life aspirations.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Our individual culture and values play a significant role in our human experience. It is imperative that my clients know that I see all aspects of who they are and how their individual lives have influenced their strengths and challenges in relationships, work, and life. Our identities directly impact the way in which see and experience the world, and our sessions include conversations about how these dynamics influence the therapeutic relationship, as well as traumatic experiences and their healing process. As a mother and wife myself, I can understand and relate to the unique challenges that parents and partners face in a society that often makes them feel blamed, shamed, and alone. Being an agent of change with my clients and communities is an integral aspect of my identity as a therapist, and I am dedicated to walking alongside my clients on their journey towards healing and wholeness.
