Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a brain disorder that is typically characterized by a lack of impulse control, an inability to focus and pay attention, and hyperactivity. ADHD most commonly emerges in children and teens and can continue into adulthood. In fact, ADHD is the most common mental health disorder diagnosed in young people and sufferers often have trouble paying attention in school. ADHD must be diagnosed by a qualified clinician. In addition to medical interventions, seeing a mental health practitioner who specializes in the treatment of ADHD can help patients and their families better cope with many of the symptoms. Relationships are hard. Dating and finding a healthy partner is hard, and maintaining that relationship is a lot of work. Throw in a job, maybe some kids and pets, and somehow time to get to the gym? Crazy hard. But when you have a relationship that is great, that really makes you a better version of yourself? Amazing. Nothing compares. And that's why I work with couples, because relationships are hard work, but having a great one is totally worth all the work.

Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

I work with couples and individuals of all sexual, gender, and racial orientations. I support clients in breaking old habits, defeating false perceptions, and developing new, positive ways of living. Therapy is individualized, but typically leads to becoming more authentic with others, and accessing and manifesting the power of one's true nature. In doing so, clients can skillfully access their potential, reconnect with their creativity, and navigate any challenges or transitions life presents.

My clients prefer telehealth services. Whether they feel more comfortable accessing therapy from home or have difficulty attending "in person" sessions because of chronic and acute health issues, my schedule allows for weekly appointments with little to no wait time. I always keep my caseload small to accommodate my clients needs, so they feel like they can access support whenever they need it. My PsyPact Mobility License provides support whether you are at home, away at college, or traveling.

I work with clients from college age and onward that are dealing with issues of sexuality and gender identity. I also work with clients dealing with religious trauma and/or investigating their own relationship with spirituality of all flavors. My style involves looking through the past to see how the narratives we tell ourselves affect our current lives.

When I first meet with people, some of my first questions I might ask are: - What made you hit the "Search therapists" button? - Do you have difficulty making decisions? - Feel stuck or lost when it comes to your direction in this busy life you've got going on? - Do you feel like things are just simply, unmanageable? I want my clients to feel at home in my office and talking to me about all of these questions, the way you feel comfortable talking to your closest friends and confidants.

I push partners to connect more deeply with one another, and to understand more about what they need and desire from each other. Clients tell me that my ability to hold space for each of their perspectives and “translate” their experiences to one another helps them overcome the barriers they feel in communication. I am most successful with clients who want to increase their understanding of their situation, who are willing to change and grow, and who are open to being accountable.
