About Our Clients

When I first meet with people, some of my first questions I might ask are: - What made you hit the "Search therapists" button? - Do you have difficulty making decisions? - Feel stuck or lost when it comes to your direction in this busy life you've got going on? - Do you feel like things are just simply, unmanageable? I want my clients to feel at home in my office and talking to me about all of these questions, the way you feel comfortable talking to your closest friends and confidants.

My Background and Approach

As your therapist, my primary goal is to provide you with a comfortable space where you can safely unburden yourself as we explore your concerns. I find traditional approaches like CBT and EMDR to be most effective when personalized with interactive multimedia like art and music. I began my work with individuals while still an undergraduate at Delaware Valley University in Pennsylvania. I then went on to earn my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Adler University in Chicago. I have ample training & experience amassed over the last ten years which empowers me to effectively intervene with a wide variety of struggles including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship problems and substance use. You will find that my experience working with individuals across the lifespan will serve you well. My special interest is working with individuals struggling with substance use disorders and long term recovery and harm reduction.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Outside of private practice I believe in investing in my local community and cultivating relationships with those around me. I believe our creativity is essential to living our best, authentic life. On weekends I love crafting, painting, and even a delightful swear words coloring book! I even love weaving this aspects into my therapeutic work. When I'm not at work I value spending time with my family but also allowing them to be part of my connection to the community. As part of my own self-care (and sometimes even as a family activity!) I enjoy being able to volunteer to wash and walk dog's at a local shelter. I don't think there is anything more therapeutic and comforting than being able to give a dog some good loving belly rubs!
