My Background and Approach
Through working together, you will gain the skills and strategies to help you navigate your traumas and chronic stress. We can pick from a mixture of Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and IFS- Informed (IFS/Parts Work), and harm reduction to provide individualized therapy that works for you. -- Licensed Clinical Social Worker- Licensed in Wisconsin Graduate degree- Masters of Social Work at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee 2019 Undergraduate degree - Bachelors of Social Work at the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater 2018 -- Pets (we have two dogs and a sassy cat),Reading, Traveling, Hiking, Camping, Kayaking, and Weightlifting
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a white, cisgender woman, english-speaking settler I am privileged with citizenship, post-secondary education, and in the working class I am a partnered, child-free, and exists in a larger body. We are privileged to live in a two-person income home which allows us to provide accessible services. I am a late diagnosed AuDHDer, PDAer, and have lived mental health experience (OSDD, cPTSD). I have lived experience with MCAS. I am physically located on Oma͞eqnomenew-ahkew (Menominee), Anishinabewaki ᐊᓂᔑᓈᐯᐗᑭ, and Očhéthi Šakówiŋ land and raised on Oma͞eqnomenew-ahkew (Menominee) and Očhéthi Šakówiŋ land -- Views and Values: Anti-Oppression& Anti-Capitalist views. Reproduction, Sex, Gender, and 2SLGBTQIA+ Liberation, Disability, Neurodivergence, and Fat Liberation Spiritual and Interconnectedness Dismantling Whiteness, Decolonization and Landback Dismantling systemic barriers/inequities by engaging in policy advocacy & activism
