Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a brain disorder that is typically characterized by a lack of impulse control, an inability to focus and pay attention, and hyperactivity. ADHD most commonly emerges in children and teens and can continue into adulthood. In fact, ADHD is the most common mental health disorder diagnosed in young people and sufferers often have trouble paying attention in school. ADHD must be diagnosed by a qualified clinician. In addition to medical interventions, seeing a mental health practitioner who specializes in the treatment of ADHD can help patients and their families better cope with many of the symptoms. One of the most important aspects in therapy is for patients to feel heard, respected, and understood. I offer an active and collaborative therapeutic style that allows the opportunity for clients to learn, grow, explore, challenge and live the life they want to be living. Treatment is tailored to fit your needs and goals, drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ERP, ICBT, ACT, Family Systems, and Strengths based.

My clients are people who are thriving in many areas of their lives while also feeling like they are quietly falling apart due to anxiety or thoughts about difficult things they have experienced in the past. They are people from a wide range of backgrounds, including people in the LGBTQ+ community, people in monogamous or non-monogmous relationships, people with rich life experiences to draw on, and usually people with a good sense of humor that may have gotten a little lost along the way.

I use EMDR therapy to help people recover from trauma. My preferred model of EMDR is the "intensive" model, in which we meet for a longer period of time per session (1.5 - 3 hours per session), for a smaller, total number of sessions. Research has shown that this type of approach can be very effective in helping people recover, and begin living their lives to the fullest once more.

My clients tend to identify as LGBTQ, kinky, poly/ENM or identify as having a non-traditional relationship dynamic. They are usually searching for someone to help them navigate hurdles without having to explain the nuts and bolts of their sexuality, career, or lifestyle.
