About My Clients

Do you often find yourself consumed by anxiety, wrestling with overwhelming emotions, and navigating a sense of feeling undervalued or overlooked? It feels like life is a constant struggle, and catching a break seems impossible. Perhaps you've experienced trauma that lingers, adding an extra layer of difficulty to your daily challenges. Despite your natural inclination to help others, accepting support for yourself feels foreign. Together we can embark on the journey to the place you want to be.

My Background and Approach

Eliza is dedicated to providing empathetic and effective counseling services, with a focus on creating a safe and supportive space for her clients. Eliza's training and expertise encompass various areas, including clinical mental health counseling, complex trauma, forensic psychology, and addiction treatment. She is committed to tailoring therapy to meet the unique needs of each client and strives to offer a diverse range of interventions based on those needs. Her therapeutic approach utilizes a range of modalities, including relational therapy, psychodynamic approaches, trauma-focused interventions, strengths-based therapy, ACT, Mindfulness, CBT, and DBT. Additionally, Eliza is dedicated to staying informed and incorporating evidence-based interventions into her practice. With a commitment to ongoing professional development, she looks forward to fostering positive change and growth in her clients as they navigate their individual paths to healing.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a therapist, I believe in a person-centered approach. I tailor interventions based on what my client’s goals are, what they are experiencing in the here-and-now, and what elements from their past might be hindering them from experiencing the growth they desire. This means that no session will look identical. We might spend time acknowledging our past behavioral patterns through a psychodynamic framework or spend time incorporating mindfulness to get in-touch with our emotions in the here-and-now. Each session we will attend to your current stressors, make connections regarding patterns, and discuss ways to alleviate anything causing distress in your life. Therapy is a collaborative environment and it is my main goal to make sure you are getting what YOU want out of the therapeutic relationship in an environment where you feel comfortable and safe throughout the entirety of your healing journey.
