Gender identity issues, sometimes called gender dysphoria or gender conflict, occur when an individual feels an inconsistency between their physical gender and the gender they truly feel or identify with. This most commonly exhibits itself as a physical discomfort with the gender one was assigned at birth, including the feeling of being in the wrong body. Children with gender dysphoria may express disgust of their own genitals or a certainty that they will grow up to be the opposite sex. Some individuals with gender identity issues treat this feeling by physically modifying their bodies to better match their gender identity. Gender dysphoria comes with it an increased risk for depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and bullying. If you are experiencing gender identity issues, reach out to one of TherapyDen’s qualified professionals today.
Couples find themselves stuck in repetitive patterns that leave them feeling misunderstood, frustrated, far away from each other, and alone. These patterns might involve feelings of being shut out, attacked, unwanted, not being heard, or craving greater closeness. Protective responses such as withdrawing from the conversation or pursuing a partner for change or answers can leave you trapped in these cycles. It's time to get you two out of this agony. Come alongside us.

Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

I work with individuals of all identities including LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, BDSM and poly identities, as well as folx struggling with substance abuse or behavioral/process addictions. Sex, sexuality, sex and love addiction are areas in which I specialize. As a holder of some marginalized identities and an ally to others, I make a point of understanding my privilege and how I can use it to continue to fight for the rights of marginalized communities.
