About My Clients
Our clients come from a variety of backgrounds. ICW serves clients ages 4 to 60+. We are trained in working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. We are trained in providing safe and respectful care to our LGBTQIA+ family. Our clients tend to be coming to us wanting to work through concerns/experiences with trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, depression, substance use, identity explorations/discoveries, grief and loss, and relationship struggles.
My Background and Approach
Integrated Counseling and Wellness believes in partnering with you in the messy and beautiful parts of your healing. We believe that presenting our most authentic self is essential to helping you feel safe being your authentic self. We strive toward equity in our care, growing in our stories so we can help you grow in yours. We hope you allow us to hold space for you as we unravel the complexities in the wholeness of your being. We have providers trained in evidenced based practices as well as holistic approaches to therapy such as: Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Nature based therapy, Mindfulness, Somatic therapies, Motivational Interviewing, and Play Therapy. Our therapists also come from a variety of clinical training including social work, clinical counseling, marriage and family therapy, and addiction counseling.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
ICW is a woman and queer owned practice. Many of our therapists hold marginalized and complex identities that allow for our team to connect with many folx. Our practice does it's best and continues to learn and grow in anti-capitalist approaches and work toward decolonializing our therapy work. We understand we do not, and will not, know everything and therefore rely on the client to educate us about themselves and their needs. Our values are: Acceptance, Authenticity, Curiosity, Empowerment, Equity, Safety.
