About My Clients
I treat a wide range of patients. The most personally rewarding part of every position I’ve had is getting to know people, talking with them, learning what makes them unique, and constantly rediscovering all the ways we are all the same. Medication management is an art and a science. There usually are many different acceptable treatment paths, and I enjoy getting to know my patients and figuring out what will work best for each particular person, given their preferences and personalities.
My Background and Approach
I received my training at Duke University. I have expertise working with patients who are dealing with symptoms related to panic, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, OCD and psychotic and delusional disorders. Medication management combined with therapy is very personally rewarding for me as I get to use the science-driven part of my brain along with my love of getting to know people. My job is to talk to people all day and then work with patients to improve their lives based on what I learn from them. It’s a very satisfying supporting role for me to play in my patients’ lives. In addition to being an attentive listener and great communicator, I am dedicated to helping you find meaningful solutions so you can lead a more fulfilling life. My commitment is to provide the best care for you in partnership as equal companions on the way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strive to employ comprehensive mental health care that will inspire hope and guide each person in their journey towards healthy mental wellbeing. I am supportive of the LGBTQ community. Many of my current patients identify as a part of this community. I provide a safe non-judgmental atmosphere, all are welcome. I emphasize that psychiatric medications can be used to treat a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and psychotic disorders. I understand the unique needs of my clients and work closely with you to assess, diagnose, and manage the variety of conditions through individualized psychotropic medication management.
