About My Clients
I work with people who want to work on becoming the best version of themselves, navigating life changes + new diagnoses, processing identity formation and deconstruction, and discovering how their past impacts their present. I specialize in helping people navigate harmful religious experiences, neurodivergent challenges, and LGBTQIA+ difficulties. My work with partners is focused on improving communication, navigating life transitions/identities, and deepening their emotional connection.
My Background and Approach
I’m a big fan of letting you dictate how you want therapy to work. You are an expert of your lived experiences, I am an expert in the process and we both bring our expertise to the table in a unified way. I take a whole-person approach to therapy, considering the nuance of systems, upbringing, lived experiences, and more into account. I focus on attachment, parts work, and the impact of complex trauma while incorporating the intersectionality of our identities through a social justice and feminist lens. We would connect well if you’re looking for someone who is easygoing, relatable, and straight-up with you. I never want my space or your experience to be uptight or suffocating, I quite literally want the opposite. If you’re looking for a genuine relationship that doesn’t feel forced or fake, then you’re in the right place. I am direct but gentle in my approach and provide a warm atmosphere where it feels more like a living room and less like a clinic.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Midwest-raised, ex-evangelical, queer, neurodivergent, zillenial therapist. I take a holistic approach that focuses on the systems that impact our day to day living. I am passionate about supporting my fellow queer folks + neurodivergent people. I have a feminist and queer lens where I will challenge (where appropriate obviously) the “normal” way of doing things and how that is negatively impacting our health. I continuously push for social justice for our fellow Americans, immigrants, and people abroad. When I’m not doing therapy things, I am probably hanging out with my spouse or friends, perusing a thrift store, playing a cozy video game, or eating something v yummy. Prior to calling Fort Collins home, I’ve lived all over the US (IN, NJ, OR, now CO) and I’ve travelled out of the country quite a bit. I’ve now settled down in Fort Collins with my spouse, cat (Cavatappi aka Cava), and rabbit (Bentley aka Bent).
