A fundamental approach to my method of therapy is developing a therapeutic relationship built on compassion and authenticity. I enjoy working with individuals, couples and adolescents in their transitions in life, relationships, depression/anxiety, stress, grief and loss. Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.
Most of the individuals drawn to me are people who find themselves in the midst of a transition in their life. Many are college students, transplants, frequent travelers and interstate commuters who want a consistent presence to check in at a time when change is not only inevitable but overwhelming.
My practice primarily focuses on Gay Men, Religious Trauma and the LGBTQIA+ Community. I understand that seeking therapy can a difficult decision, but one that can lead to significant growth and healing. It is not uncommon to experience feelings of shame, isolation, and anxiety as well as lack of acceptance from friends, family and social networks. I am here to provide a supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, and work through any challenges you may be facing.

Every person is a masterpiece, created with a purpose to do great things. Sometimes we feel lost, get overwhelmed with anxious thoughts, become sad, get angry, and feel worthless. Perhaps your tween or teen is struggling with focus, impulsive behaviors, or other behavioral issues. Does lack of motivation or struggles with decision making, get in the way of you setting or accomplishing goals? I provide therapy to teens, adults, and couples equipping them with tools to overcome life's challenges.
I specialize working with men. Specifically Hispanic men who struggle with depression, imposter syndrome & grief. As the son of Salvadorean immigrant parents, I'm empathize with immigrant families. As a male therapist whose also been in therapy, I also know what its like to deal with stigma. Thats why I normalize the therapy by having a down to earth conversation while drinking some "cafecito" (In English that means coffee, preferably cafe bustelo).
