About My Clients
I welcome creative, gifted, neurodivergent, highly sensitive, and unconventional individuals—artists, musicians, cultural creatives, 2e adults, autistic individuals, and those with sensory or learning differences. All identities, spiritual paths, and lifestyles are respected, including alternative and counterculture communities: Burners, Pagans, Deadheads, gamers, seekers, Waldorf and natural-living folks, and more. Conventional or unconventional, you're welcome here!
My Background and Approach
I combine conventional psychiatry with holistic and integrative approaches, tailoring care to your individual needs, preferences, and values. Treatment may include psychiatric medications, natural alternatives, nutritional support, lifestyle interventions, and exploration of physical factors that may influence mood and cognitive functioning. My approach is collaborative, solution-focused, and forward-looking, emphasizing self-acceptance, personal growth, and celebrating what makes you unique. I do not prescribe controlled substances, including stimulants for ADHD or benzodiazepines for anxiety or sleep. I'm triple board-certified in psychiatric mental health nursing, family practice nursing, and holistic/integrative care. I've practiced since 2012 and hold three master's degrees: an MSN in Nursing, an MA in Psychology, and an MBA.
More About the People I Treat
Looking for psychiatry rather than talk therapy? My practice focuses on psychiatric assessment, medication management, and holistic and integrative treatment—not traditional, ongoing talk psychotherapy. My services can complement work with a therapist, but you don't need to be in therapy to receive psychiatric care. Visits may include supportive counseling, practical strategies, and solution-focused guidance, along with medication management and exploration of physical factors that may influence your symptoms, such as hormones, thyroid function, nutrition, and sleep. Appointments are typically more frequent when beginning treatment or making changes, then spaced farther apart as your needs stabilize. If you're primarily seeking ongoing talk therapy, a licensed psychotherapist (such as an LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or psychologist) may be a better fit. If you're looking for individualized psychiatric care, I'd be happy to explore whether my approach meets your needs.
