Healing happens when we have a safe place to reflect, learn, and process what we've been through. I can't wait to provide that for you!

About My Clients

I'm likely a fit for you as a therapist if you are finding yourself more impacted by your struggles than you'd expect. If you want healing and beautiful relationships, but you find yourself in bad ones over and over. If you understand you have trauma or that you get triggered, but you aren't sure how to stop that pattern and begin to feel differently. I serve teens and adults with anxiety, depression, and various forms of trauma, including religious, childhood/complex PTSD, and LGBTQIA+ issues.

My Background and Approach

My desire to support people by working one-on-one, cheering them on through whatever they may be facing led me to pursue my Master of Social Work (MSW) with an emphasis on Mental Health and Substance Misuse from the University of Texas at Arlington. During my MSW program, I was able to gain invaluable experience at a residential facility for teens (Waco Center for Youth) and providing counseling to Special Education students at Midway ISD. After graduating, I spent two years at Communities in Schools at Connally High School, providing case management and counseling services to at-risk teens. My goal is always to work collaboratively with you to identify what you want therapy to look like, and how quickly you’d like to progress. Through the use of EMDR therapy, techniques from Coherence Therapy, and supportive talk-therapy, I aim to help you remove the barriers that have kept you stuck, allowing your brain & body to do what it does best: heal.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that ALL people deserve kindness, respect, autonomy, and basic provisions. I am an imperfect person committed to always continuing to learn the different ways these things are kept from people through the structures in place in our culture. I understand how marginalization in all forms impacts physical and mental health, and I can relate in many ways myself! I enjoy walking with others through their challenges, whatever they may be!
