About My Clients
I work with men navigating stress, identity, and life direction; veterans and individuals processing trauma or PTSD; athletes dealing with performance anxiety; and women recovering from domestic violence. Many are used to handling things on their own but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of their next step.
My Background and Approach
Clients often describe me as calm, grounded, and easy to talk to. I don’t force conversation or fill space just to fill it—I create a space where you can slow down, think clearly, and without pressure to have it all figured out. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas (License #96121), supervised by Jacqueline Maye, LPC-S. My background includes serving as a Marine Corps veteran with two deployments to Iraq, as well as experience as a teacher, coach, and Ironman triathlete. These experiences shape how I understand trauma, pressure, and identity shifts. My approach is grounded in existential and humanistic therapy, focusing on your experience, your values, and the choices in front of you. I help clients work through PTSD, anxiety, abuse recovery, grief, and life transitions, while also integrating mental performance principles to build confidence and resilience under pressure. Humanistic Sandtray Therapy is available as an optional tool in sessions.
Why I am a Good Fit for You
I’m a good fit for people who are used to handling things on their own but are starting to feel the weight of it. You may be used to pushing through, staying strong, or showing up for everyone else—while struggling underneath. I bring a calm, grounded presence and don’t force conversation or push you before you’re ready. This is a space where you can slow things down, think clearly, and start making sense of what you’re dealing with without pressure to have it all figured out. My background as a Marine Corps veteran, husband, father, and endurance athlete shapes how I understand pressure, resilience, and identity. I focus on helping you reconnect with yourself, process what you’ve been through, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
