Hi! My name is Natalie and I am a liberation focused therapist specializing in trauma, LGBTQ+, attachment, ASD/ADHD, & disability justice.

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Palo Alto, CA

About My Clients

We are impacted by our lived experiences and environments in significant ways. Our lived experiences may be contributing to current distress and disconnect from ourselves, others, and communities. I strive to make our bodies safe places to be again, and through exploring the impact of previous experiences, finding new meaning and empowerment moving forward. I especially work with LGBTQ+ folks, those with Autism and ADHD, trauma/CPTSD, fat individuals, adoptees, and disabled folks.

My Background and Approach

Many people are deeply and continuously harmed by systems not made for them, from patriarchy to racism to homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and anti-fat bias--to name a few. I want to provide a space for you to explore your unique identity as valid and valuable while identifying harm done through systemic oppression.I specialize in trauma, attachment, EMDR, LGBTQ+/gender affirming care, attachment/adoption, fat lib, and how systems of oppression impact mental health. It is important to explore how our experiences have formed our nervous systems and framework of understanding the world, ourselves, and each other and seeing how we can find healing and empowerment moving forward. I utilize a person-centered approach + a trauma-informed attachment-focused lens to foster a space to explore how systems and situations have impacted you and how to pursue empowerment in your unique identity. I have a Certified Trauma Professional Certification and enjoy exploring the mind-body connection.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am fat-identified and believe in body liberation for all marginalized bodies. I support the Black Lives Matter movement, support the abolition and defunding of police, and building up communities through mutual aid support. Part of my personal work as a therapist includes activism, advocacy, and staying in touch with local government initiatives to pursue meaningful change. I believe it is non-negotiable to be committed to anti-racist and anti-oppression as a lifestyle and believe this cannot be separated from my clinical work due to the relationship between power, oppression, and mental health. I am committed to supporting the rights of the LGBTQ+ community, including trans youth and their families. I believe in land-back initiatives and a free Palestine. I believe in COVID safety and protecting our ill and immunocompromised kin, as well as commitment to disability justice.
