About My Clients
My strength as a therapist is my ability and curiosity to connect with a wide range of clients regardless of your backgrounds. As a woman of color, I am particularly honored to serve those from marginalized communities as well, e.g., BIPOC, LGBTQ, religious minorities, elders, and women. I enjoy working with oppression of all forms and anxiety/depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, and relationship concerns.
My Background and Approach
My work style is strongly influenced by feminist-multicultural-social justice, interpersonal, emotion-focused, mindfulness, and self-psychology frameworks, with the highest priority in understanding and empowering you, and helping you transcend past/present wounds and trauma towards a holistic wellness. I also integrate evidence-based practice (e.g., brain-based, interpersonal neurobiology, trauma-informed frameworks) as appropriate. I believe in authentic relating and see you as the expert of your life experience while we work together to help you gain clarity and give you what you need in life. I strive to provide safety first and foremost while respecting your process and vulnerabilities in navigating difficult places.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all have within us the capacity to heal ourselves. And that healing happens when you are seen, understood, and supported in making the necessary change in life.
