This time of life can be overwhelming, so full of change and new that sometimes it feels like too much. It can be confusing trying to figure out who you are, what you believe, how to be in relationships with others and even with yourself! Developing autonomy is exciting and it can also be scary to have to “adult” so much. You are taking responsibility for yourself, but probably still feel like you are ‘not quite’ an adult. Trauma can also include single incidents such as car accidents and grief/loss. We also specialize in working with first responders who accumulate trauma due to the everyday nature of the work.
