About My Clients

My clients are professionals, entrepreneurs, parents and holders of many identities struggling to show up in a way that's consistent with their values. I have extensive experience working with people early in parenting. Whether individuals or couples, most of my clients are seeking to be more fully themselves. I work with folks navigating relationships that run the gamut from the one with themselves to decades-long marriages to ethical non-monogamy.

My Background and Approach

I specialize in working with couples and folks who want help relating. You'll find me compassionate, grounded, non-judgmental and trauma-informed. And you'll find our work to be depth-oriented and present-focused. We'll focus on alleviating the hurt that is bringing you into therapy right from the start with a longer-term goal of healing. I use mindfulness and somatics to help you attend to limiting thoughts and how you experience them in the body; build feelings awareness and gently address patterns in your life that have you stuck, uncovering strength & resilience. I'm EMDR trained and somatically oriented, because feelings occur in the body and have wisdom to share. I have advanced couples therapy training in the Developmental Model and EFT and continue to study the work of Stan Tatkin, & Esther Perel, so I provide truly helpful, structured, focused couples work. My master's degree is in Integral Counseling Psychology from CIIS.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I'm passionate about helping people heal and thrive. I see sharing one's truth as a sign of strength and feel truly honored that my clients choose to share the vulnerable parts of themselves with me. I believe people develop all kinds of painful patterns when they need a survival strategy to make it through difficult circumstances, not because there's something wrong with them. Things like anxiety, shame, low self-confidence, angry outbursts and tough inner critics - they all helped us at one point in our lives. And I think we repeat them until they no longer work for us. The dissonance that arises when they're no longer working is not because we're damaged, but because we're trying to grow. I think we start to notice that dissonance when we're ready for change. When we can hold these truths with gentle, mindful curiosity, that's when growth happens. I'm deeply feminist, committed to non-violence and social justice. I welcome anyone who wants to heal.
