Kristy Case, LCSW, OSWCLicensed Clinical Social Worker, MSW, LCSW, OSWC
I incorporate a variety of therapeutic interventions in my work with clients. I have specialized training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which is a type of therapy that helps people to examine their automatic, unhelpful thought and behavior patterns in order to "re-wire" how the brain thinks and drives behavior. I help people understand where their thoughts and behaviors come from and assist in creating new ways of thinking and behaving. This method is commonly used to help manage anxiety. Additionally, I have specialized training in Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy (MCP) which is a type of therapy that helps people identify what has been/is meaningful in their life. This type of therapy is useful with illness and life transitions. If you know what is meaningful in your life, you can stay focused on your goals and feel more connected to people and activities that fulfill you.
