I welcome people from all walks of life. Many of my prospective clients struggle with feeling stuck and unable to move on with their life goals. It is not for the lack of wanting/trying. I will be working with you on identifying the source of what is holding you back. And I will partner with you on finding resources that will bring change and growth.
You've experienced sexual assault (and you might find it hard to label it that way). You struggle with intimacy and are worried there is something wrong with you. You often feel anxious and even when things are going well in relationships it feels like you are waiting for something to go wrong. Sometimes during sex you cry, dissociate, or try to just "get through it". You're worried you might never get over the bad things that have happened to you and that on some level you're broken.
My clients are motivated to learn about themselves and discover the things that interfere with their living their best life possible. Clients come to me with addiction issues and may be struggling with ambivalence towards changing, or are motivated to give up self-destructive patterns of behavior. Clients might be anywhere along the path towards coming out and stepping fully into their sexual identity.
One of the most important aspects in therapy is for patients to feel heard, respected, and understood. I offer an active and collaborative therapeutic style that allows the opportunity for clients to learn, grow, explore, challenge and live the life they want to be living. Treatment is tailored to fit your needs and goals, drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ERP, ICBT, ACT, Family Systems, and Strengths based.
I work with children who have a range of difficulties across all spectrums of social, emotional, and behavioral needs and diagnoses. In addition, I work with parents of special needs children, helping parents in how to parent their unique child, as well as individual therapeutic issues that may have arisen since becoming a parent. I also work with divorcing couples on how to co-parent their child. Finally, I work with adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, or life transitions.

As a family therapist, I am passionate about working with families and the problems that keep them from their ideal relationships. My work is generally with youth, their siblings, and caregivers. When any person in a family is struggling, it impacts everyone. If trauma has impacted a family, the strength of connection is often stretched thin. It is my hope to connect, or re-connect, youth and families to their resilience, values, and love.
Clients come to work with me for many different reasons. In general, they are people who are ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. They may be dealing with stress, anxiety, or depression, and are looking for a safe and supportive space to explore their emotions and thoughts. They have a desire to better understand themselves, to develop greater self-awareness, and to create lasting change in their lives. They are motivated to work collaboratively.
How can you limit shame and blame? How can you deepen your relationships with the people who matter most? How can you take charge of your time, money, life? The answers to many of these questions are inside of you. Working with me, together we will start to identify ways you get stuck in feelings, moods, habits, and behaviors that limit you. Once we have a good idea of the triggers, we can start to shift your attitude toward yourself. Let's work together to focus on the best about you so you can

My clients are motivated and curious, and recognize that outside support can make a big difference when life is just too much to handle alone. I approach therapy as a collaborative and creative effort, with mindfulness and body awareness contributing to our ongoing conversation. I offer support for anxiety, depression, life stage transitions, overwhelming stress, resolution of trauma, and chronic pain/illness. I also specialize in helping women who have been diagnosed with Endometriosis.
My clients would be Telehealth only at this time and for the foreseeable future. I work with adults primarily, both in individual and group settings. At times, emotions can feel all-consuming and get in the way of what we want or care about most in our lives. I use evidence-based practices to support children, teens, and young adults in coping with difficult experiences—such as anxiety, OCD, depression and behavioral challenges. I also provide parents with strategies to help their children experiencing challenges. My goal is to work with clients on building their strengths in facing difficult emotions and living a rich and meaningful life.
Some of my clients are working toward feeling more connected in their relationships. Some are working to heal from traumas of the past. Most are looking for an expert therapist, who having tried multiple therapists, need a more comprehensive, philosophically grounded, deeper, and richer experience of self-exploration and healing. My goal is for my clients to experience a connection they may have never felt that helps them build insight, understanding, and the courage and power to heal and grow.
I work with adults seeking therapy to overcome persistent anxieties and deep-rooted feelings of insecurity and inadequacy. Together, we can help you develop self-esteem to undo the impact of trauma, leading to more satisfying relationships and a more fulfilling life. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your needs. I specialize in psychodynamic therapy, also known as psychoanalysis. This is a depth-oriented therapy that aims to resolve deep-seated issues.
