About My Clients

My clients are successful individuals and couples who utilize my services to help them thrive at work and home. Typically, they are adapting to change, learning new communication strategies, building resilience, and healing their trauma. Many of my clients are leaders or change agents who are experiencing anxiety or depression related to work stress. Therapy helps them to build healthy coping practices to become more effective in their roles and to gain work/life harmony.

My Background and Approach

Everyone deserves to thrive but often barriers related to identity, early life experiences, or trauma can make it challenging. I am influenced by adult developmental psychology and strive to help individuals and couples recognize how they make sense of their lives, their past, and the barriers to living the life they want. Most people can learn to flourish as they build self-knowledge and shift thinking patterns. My practice is person-centered, drawing on tools from a variety of modalities, such as coaching, yoga, meditation, CBT, and narrative therapy. I hold a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership Psychology from William James College in Newton, MA, and a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College. I am originally from the United Kingdom where I completed my Bachelors in Psychology at Lancaster University. I am a Certified Hogan Assessment Practitioner and have completed coach training with Cultivating Leadership and Coaches Rising.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Whether you want to shift thinking patterns, heal from trauma, adapt behavior, or are seeking deeper insights into your relationships, therapy can be powerful and life altering. I believe that everyone benefits from the ability to speak openly and authentically about who they are, what pains them, and what they need. All too often our social structures condition us to adopt a persona that isn't aligned with our true self. I partner with my clients to step into their most authentic self and to build their confidence, find their voice, and reach new goals. You can learn more about my psychotherapy services and approach at www.calonwellness.com. I believe that healthy social systems and organizations are critical to individual wellbeing. To that end, I also work with organizations and leaders to develop teams, build psychologically safe cultures, and to align business strategy with people strategy.
