Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a brain disorder that is typically characterized by a lack of impulse control, an inability to focus and pay attention, and hyperactivity. ADHD most commonly emerges in children and teens and can continue into adulthood. In fact, ADHD is the most common mental health disorder diagnosed in young people and sufferers often have trouble paying attention in school. ADHD must be diagnosed by a qualified clinician. In addition to medical interventions, seeing a mental health practitioner who specializes in the treatment of ADHD can help patients and their families better cope with many of the symptoms. I look forward to supporting you in your process of growth and change.

If you have ADHD, you're not broken—although it may often feel that way. If you're a neurodivergent (ND) person who has spent years trying to function the way neurotypical (NT) people do, you know that a lot of the advice you receive doesn’t seem to work. It's hard to solve ND problems using NT solutions. I can help you learn more about your ADHD patterns, identify areas in your life where ADHD is most challenging, and teach you effective strategies & techniques for managing your challenges.

It's my opinion (and research supports this) that building supportive spaces where individuals can explore their authentic selves and change unhelpful patterns is the most effective way to do therapy. I support the well-being of adults and adolescents experiencing overwhelming emotions, challenging histories, and complex mental health problems. All too often we trade expressing our genuine selves for safety, which can lead to blame, resentment, anxiety, and inexplicable grief.
While I am open to working with clients from all populations, my ideal client is one who is open to and ready for change, realizing the current situation isn’t working. I have over 20 years of experience working with families and youth working for non-profit social welfare agencies.

Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.
