Rachael believes that a “one-size fits all” approach to counseling does not exist! She is dedicated to spending as much time as possible establishing a positive, comfortable, and supportive relationship with all of her clients. She practices from the idea that each client is the expert in their own lives, while also emphasizing the importance of receiving an additional, professional perspective.
My Background and Approach
Rachael has experience providing individual and group counseling in a community mental health setting. She has primarily worked with individuals who are seeking counseling services to address their mental health, substance use, trauma history, and navigating the highs and lows of everyday life. Rachael’s therapeutic style blends warm, empathetic support and direct but soft challenging to help clients grow and address the needs they bring to counseling. She practices from the idea that each client is the expert in their own lives, while also emphasizing the importance of receiving an additional, professional perspective. Rachael utilizes several modalities in her practice, including narrative therapy, trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
