Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

At Newport Academy, we address the root causes of self-destructive behaviors, not just the symptoms. We guide teens and their families to achieve long-term, sustainable healing by treating the underlying issues—such as trauma, depression, and anxiety—that catalyze substance abuse, eating disorders, and other co-occurring disorders. Incorporating clinical, experiential, and holistic modalities, our gender-specific treatment is family-focused and results-oriented.
