About My Clients
Calling all writers, musicians, artists, dancers, and creatives of any kind looking for emotional support, healing, or help navigating life’s challenges. The world may have told you otherwise, but you are inherently worthy, just the way you are. Maybe you have late-diagnosed ADHD, autism, or AuDHD, or you've started wondering about the possibility of being neurosparkly. There is a safe space waiting for you at Heal ATL, and I would love the opportunity to welcome, accept, and celebrate you.
My Approach to Helping
Therapy can empower you to shape the narrative you tell yourself about who you are and what holds meaning in your life. In our work together, you are the expert on your life, and my role is to nurture seeds of healing, compassion, creativity, and strength to help you grow and thrive along the healing journey. I weave narrative, expressive arts, and person-centered techniques into my psychotherapy process with warmth and care, tailored to your unique needs. I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based trauma modality. I will hold space for you in the way you feel safest, whether that means working with your inner child or present-day self. I am happy to incorporate music, art, and writing into sessions to support expression and exploration. I apply a multicultural lens and enjoy working with clients of all backgrounds, cultures, faiths, and identities. I am a second-generation Cuban American, and I’m happy to hold sessions in English, Spanish, or Spanglish.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all humans are worthy of love, everyone has a story to tell, and creative expression is a form of resistance. I believe in your ability to transform anxiety, shame, perfectionism, and procrastination into serenity, self-love, authenticity, and the joy of creativity. Growing up, I was told, "when there's a will, there's a way," and I strive to live by that tenet in my own life as well as in my support for clients. My interests include cuddling my Siberian cat, writing contemporary fiction and indie songs, playing single- and double-strung Celtic harp, singing, and birdwatching. I collect obscure musical instruments, effect pedals, African violets, and cat memes.
