Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a cognitive-behavioral treatment originally developed by Marsha M. Linehan. Diagnosed herself with BPD, Linehan had insight into how to improve treatment services for this population. The goal of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is to help people identify and use their strengths. In addition, this helps clients build self-esteem and positive feelings about life. Thus, DBT combines both cognitive and behavioral therapy techniques to further this goal.

Attachment-Based Family works by rebuilding trust within the parent-child relationship—providing a solid foundation that promotes authentic connection and enhances teen mental health. This type of family counseling provides a clear path to achieving what both parents and children want most: closer, more meaningful relationships with one another. As a result, teens feel safe turning to their parents for support—and that leads to improvements in teen mental health and reductions in suicide risk.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a form of talk therapy used across the recovery spectrum. Therapists or psychologists use CBT treatment to help patients become aware of irrational or negative thinking so they can see situations clearly, process them, and respond to them in healthy ways. CBT skills can be life-changing, and are a beneficial part of an integrated treatment plan.
