Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.
I work well with couples or individuals struggling in their family unit or people going through a transitional time in their life, such as grieving a loss or divorce, etc. I enjoy the diversity in humans, and the variety of nontraditional families and relationships that are possible. I have worked with the local Diversity Center, and am an alley to the LGBTQ+ community. I am additionally certified in Marriage and Couples Counseling.
My clients are bright, creative people who find that Brainspotting helps them address obstacles and bring hopes into reality in their creative, relational and everyday lives, as well as people seeking freedom from the after-effects of trauma - including trauma perpetuated by diet culture. I've also met with many people addressing issues such as normal life changes, grief, depression and anxiety symptoms, or helping people in addition recovery navigate the courageous changes they're making.
