About My Clients
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or not quite like yourself lately? Maybe anxiety has been taking up more space in your life, your mood feels heavier than it used to, or a traumatic experience or major change has left you feeling off balance? Many people reach out for therapy when stress, depression, trauma, or life transitions start to feel harder to manage on their own. Plenty of my clients come in with several things going on at once rather than one clear, isolated problem.
My Background and Approach
My role as a licensed psychologist is to help you understand what’s happening and equip you with useful tools that make daily life more manageable. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I use evidence-based methods to help you better comprehend your thoughts and emotions, reduce distress, and create meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you. I offer virtual individual therapy in 42 states as well as Washington, D.C. I am happy to set up a no obligation 15 minute phone consultation to assess our fit. Please feel free to visit my website for additional information. I know that reaching out can feel like a big step. Whenever you're ready, I will be here to help.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Throughout my training I have worked in diverse clinical settings, including community mental health agencies, an inpatient hospital, outpatient clinics, schools, and private practice. I also have a strong research background, having co-authored several articles in academic journals as well as my master’s thesis and dissertation. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and 10-year-old daughter Abigail. Abby was born twelve weeks before I started graduate school, so I know too well the challenges of raising a child while managing a demanding profession!
