About My Clients

I work with people who seem successful on the outside but feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected underneath it all. Many of my clients are navigating relationship struggles, trauma, burnout, or the weight of constant self-criticism. They’re used to pushing through alone—but are starting to realize that something deeper needs attention. Therapy helps them create meaningful, lasting change.

My Background and Approach

I specialize in working with men and others who feel the pressure to keep it all together while quietly struggling with relationships, trauma, self-doubt, or perfectionism. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. I don’t just listen—I help you connect the dots and take meaningful action. Together, we’ll identify the patterns that keep you stuck, strengthen emotional resilience, and build the skills needed for deeper connection and lasting change. Therapy with me isn’t about endlessly analyzing or just managing symptoms—it’s about understanding what’s driving your struggles and learning how to respond differently. Our work is practical, honest, and grounded in what matters most to you. My goal is to help you create lasting change in the parts of life that feel hardest to shift—so you can stop running on autopilot and start living with more clarity, purpose, and connection. My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Therapy should be useful, grounded, and real. Insight matters, but real change happens when you apply that insight to how you live, relate, and respond. I believe you can be thoughtful, accomplished, and capable—and still feel stuck, disconnected, or uncertain. That’s not a flaw. It’s a sign that something deeper deserves attention. Whether you're working through trauma, relationship pain, perfectionism, or emotional shutdown, therapy offers a space to understand what's going on beneath the surface and learn new ways forward. I believe healing happens through honest, consistent work—and through relationships that allow you to feel both challenged and supported. Growth isn’t always comfortable, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Outside of therapy, I spend most of my time with my wife and kids, cycling the Twin Cities, or playing guitar just well enough to enjoy it (and poorly enough to keep my day job).
