About My Clients
Client's diagnosed with anxiety disorders, substance use, PTSD, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder I and II, and eating disorders. Prior to private practice, Danielle has served court mandated clients in residential treatment centers.
My Background and Approach
Danielle is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. Danielle has previously worked with clients in residential settings diagnosed with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use, PTSD, and ADHD. She guides clients through the process by exploring ways to accept the moment, gain insight to what can and cannot be controlled, and how to manage emotions effectively.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Danielle utilizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy and principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy when working with clients. Danielle promotes the grey area in life. This idea of a paradox, is known as "dialectics." Two ideas or beliefs can be opposite AND true at the same time. This theme is discussed in sessions as it pertains to the clients interests. Danielle truly believes a strong therapeutic alliance is built from having a nonjudgmental and collaborative space for her clients. She aims to support by providing validation and encouraging mindfulness practices. Danielle’s approach includes genuine empathy with a combination of lighthearted humor for clients to feel comfortable throughout the process.
