About My Clients
Right now, you are all the ages you have ever been. Your younger self may have been judged, in pain, & so alone that it feels unbearable. These misunderstood emotions can make it a struggle to put words to your experience. I’m here to be with you during this process of revealing those hidden parts—leaving behind what no longer serves you. Trauma-informed somatic therapy with me can free you from self-limiting beliefs to move us into an embodied experience of loving ourselves.
My Background and Approach
My work revolves around complex trauma, often the trauma that is hidden from others. This suffering eclipses the childlike wonder of the world & focuses our attention on what’s not working. Therapy with me brings back access to your light, your calm, and nourishes you to shift into your power. In collaboration with you, we'll assess what's happening and whether somatic therapy or another modality in my wheelhouse is a good fit for you. Let's move forward & access the full range of human emotions that come with existence, like joy & pleasure. We'll put you back in charge of your life’s direction. (My name is Phoenix for reasons.) My approach is warm, inclusive, & tailored to you. I work with a diversity of populations. Specialties include: Complex PTSD, depression, & anxiety.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
When we learn to notice our bodies and our world inside and outside of us, we further self-mastery and begin rewriting our lives. From this knowing, we can make better choices and have more of the connection we seek. Sensitivity can help us know how we can feel safer. Holistic therapies involving writing, art, movement, play, and sometimes therapeutic touch or time in nature can help you find safety, connection with your deepest motivations, and direction toward your purpose. In my practice, everyone gets have a place where they are cared about. You deserve to be here and be known for the gift you are to this world. You have a right to heal. I encourage you to bring what you already do (art and movement practices) as tools. By bringing awareness to your body, I collaborate with you in recognizing your emotions and how those emotions relate to thinking and choices.
