About My Clients

I work with individuals 14+, couples, and families, though my expertise lies in working with adults. Some of my treatment specialties include anxiety, depression, relational challenges (familial, couple, friendships), trauma, grief, identity exploration, self-esteem, and immigration-related challenges. I also specialize in treating couples issues such as infidelity, pre-marital counseling, parenting and co-parenting, intercultural/interracial couples, and deeply embedded communication issues.

My Background and Approach

I often describe my therapy approach as culturally informed, compassion-focused, and evidence-based. Personally, I value meaningful connections, warmth, and authenticity, and I believe these qualities organically translate into my clinical role in ways that make healing more achievable. My methodologies are integrative, instead of being tied to a singular approach. I will tailor my treatment models and interventions to suit you and your needs. I am trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and EMDR, skilled in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. Former clients have shared their experience with me to be compassionate, caring, invested, and effective. My clients report leaving the therapy process enjoying a stronger connection with themselves, healthier relationships with people in their lives, and overall improved quality of life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Renowned therapist Dr. Richard Schwartz writes about “no bad parts”. He is referring to the notion that no parts of any of us are essentially “bad”; instead they all serve some function, usually of a protective nature. Schwartz’s idea is deeply aligned with my beliefs as a person and a therapist. I collaborate with my clients to better understand the parts of them that are anxious, depressed, confused, overwhelmed, angry, or grieving, before treating these symptoms. Since my goal is long-lasting change, in sessions, we will pay attention to the various parts of your identity and how they uniquely intersect to create you and your life experience. I am sorry that you/your relationship is in pain and I look forward to figuring this out with you. If this feels like the right fit, take a deep breath and a moment, and reach out for a free 30 minute consult. I would love to hear from you.
