About My Clients
As a client, you’ll experience how Karly offers objectivity but also remains a real, present person. She will let out a genuine laugh at your jokes, remember specific details you share to reference later, and offer as much (or as little) back-and-forth dialogue as you’d like. Your feedback on the therapeutic process is always welcomed to ensure therapy is a space for your healing.
My Background and Approach
Karly’s therapeutic style pulls from attachment and psychodynamic theories, mindfulness, and mind/body therapies. Karly earned her bachelor's degree in family studies and her master's degree in clinical social work/behavioral health. During that time, she gained experience working with all ages as a mentor, teacher, social worker & psychotherapist. Therapy with Karly with provide you the opportunity to focus on yourself, to pause, and to honestly self-reflect. Her warm and gentle approach helps you access healing tools within yourself, understand patterns and roots of your distress, and vulnerably process your experiences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Karly is passionate about LGBT+ rights, systemic changes to create equal access, and mental health advocacy.
