Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.
You feel as though you are constantly under a microscope and everyone is judging. You're overly concerned with others' evaluation of you. You have been told not to be "so sensitive". It is almost impossible for you to be free from worry an just be in the moment. I can help you discover your strengths and embrace your true self. It helps to have someone outside your circle available to listen to your unique perspective. I want to help you explore ways to stop perfectionism and over-thinking.
I specialize working with men. Specifically Hispanic men who struggle with depression, imposter syndrome & grief. As the son of Salvadorean immigrant parents, I'm empathize with immigrant families. As a male therapist whose also been in therapy, I also know what its like to deal with stigma. Thats why I normalize the therapy by having a down to earth conversation while drinking some "cafecito" (In English that means coffee, preferably cafe bustelo).
