Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a brain disorder that is typically characterized by a lack of impulse control, an inability to focus and pay attention, and hyperactivity. ADHD most commonly emerges in children and teens and can continue into adulthood. In fact, ADHD is the most common mental health disorder diagnosed in young people and sufferers often have trouble paying attention in school. ADHD must be diagnosed by a qualified clinician. In addition to medical interventions, seeing a mental health practitioner who specializes in the treatment of ADHD can help patients and their families better cope with many of the symptoms. I tend to work with folks who are curious about themselves, others, and the human condition in general. My clients often come to therapy recognizing that they have endured relational and/or societal trauma and knowing how it impacts them. However, they feel unsure of how to reckon with, heal, and integrate their traumatic experiences. My clients are ready to live more expansively, have more balanced relationships, and feel more grounded in their daily life but need support to get there.

A wise man once said “Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if only one remembers to turn on the light.” - Albus Dumbledore, as written in Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. Yes, Dumbledore is fictional, but his words ring true for many. My goal is to help you find that light switch in order to let your own internal light shine through. If that statement resonates and you are ready to find that internal light (even if it sounds a little scary), please reach out! I cant wait to meet you.
