About My Clients
Utilizing years of clinical experience, as well as, my own lived experience, I help support clients navigating women’s issues, ADHD, and anxiety. Being a human can be hard work. I am here to help you explore the parts of your human experience that you're scared to say out loud, maybe you've never shared before, are confusing, are incredibly exciting, and most importantly are unique to you. Our work together will be grounded in collaboration and a holistic approach catered to your specific needs!
My Background and Approach
You are a whole person as you are, not an array of specific symptoms that need "fixing". Your humanness is what makes you, you! My sessions are informed by this foundational concept. Through an integrative approach, I harness evidenced based practices that are more holistic in nature prioritizing the mind body connection and are informed by your real world experiences, tailored specifically to you. Based on your needs, we will work collaboratively to explore your current stressors, previous lived experiences informing your triggers, and what challenges you may be facing on a daily basis. Through this exploration, I will be able to assess which tools, techniques, or support you would benefit most from. Whether that's an executive functioning strategy to help finally finish that To-Do list, a mindfulness exercise to tame anxious thoughts, or simply an open ear to listen. Therapy is not a one size fits all, and I strongly believe in "trying tools on" to see what fits best for you!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the most influential aspect of therapy is the relationship between a client and their therapist. I prioritize building strong, trusting relationships with my clients and creating a space that you feel safe in and look forward to being a part of each week. Through my own experience being a client, I know how critical it is to connect to the person sitting across from you and know their values to assess if they align with your own. I believe in inclusivity, LGBTQIA+ affirming care, neurodivergent affirming care, in community being essential for the human experience, that abortion is healthcare, and in being anti-racist. You know yourself best, I am here to support you through whatever it is you may be experiencing. I value humor, curiosity, and authenticity in the therapy space as mechanisms to bring levity, connection, and humanity to challenging topics or places.
